The Map Room

Every map is a portrait of the mind that drew it.

Twelve maps, laid out in the order they were made — from a palm of Babylonian clay to the projection still glowing in your pocket. Some were painted for kings, one was stolen by a spy, one was walked on for fourteen centuries, and one named a continent by accident. Each has its story, told aloud. Take the guided tour, or wander.
